LaGrassa, Philip F., of East Boston, passed away on March 17, 2021 at eighty-nine years of age.
Beloved husband, of over sixty-six years, to Mary C. LaGrassa (Memmolo).
Devoted father of Joanne Bottaro and husband, John, of Londonderry, New Hampshire, Jimmy LaGrassa and late wife, Leonora "Lee" of East Boston, John LaGrassa and wife, Dawn, of Danvers, Joyce Bedell and husband, Jonathan, of North Reading, and Joseph LaGrassa and wife, Darlene, of Revere.
Dear brother of Marion Burwell of New Hampshire and the late Beatrice, Grace, and Frank.
Cherished grandfather of fourteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor Philip's life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street, (Orient Heights) East Boston, on Monday, March 22nd from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and again on Tuesday morning at 8:30 before leaving in procession to the Saint Joseph - Saint Lazarus Church, East Boston, for a funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. Committal services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Philip's name to Saint Jude's Children Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
All services will be held in accordance to the Commonwealth of MA COVID-19 reopening regulations.
Philip was a member of the OTIS Social Club of East Boston. He also participated in the Bowling League with OTIS. He was also a member of the Stadium Softball League. Philip found great joy and fun in playing sports and going to the Casino. He was a sheet metal worker throughout his life. Philip is also an United States of America Army Veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict.
