Mary Ann (Reese) Andre

Andre, Mary Ann (Reese) of Winthrop, formerly of Las Vegas, NV., passed away at home on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, after a lengthy illness at the age of 83. 

Loving Daughter to the late John & Josephine Reese.

Beloved wife of the late Arthur George Andre.

Cherished sister to Louise (Reese) and her Husband, Charles Warwick of Winthrop Ma., and the late John Q. Reese, Judith A. Riggs, and Josephine DiBiccari. 

Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Mary Ann was born in Boston at the Carney Hospital to John and Josephine Reese on July 13, 1942, and was raised in Winthrop with her siblings, John, Judith, Josephine, and Louise.  She attended St. John Elementary School and then attended Winthrop Public High School graduating with the class of 1960.  From there she began her career with the Department of Defense and relocated to Las Vegas, NV.  While with the Department of Defense, she assisted in National Security operations and provided essential services to military bases across the world.  While living in Las Vegas, she met the love of her life, Arthur George Andre, and got married in April of 1981 spending many years together until his passing in 2015.  Mary Ann was a devoted Catholic and was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church and Winthrop's Catholic Woman's Club.  She was also a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous for over 40 years.  In Mary Ann's free time she enjoyed walking her dog and talking strolls at the local beaches and lakes. Mary Ann also had a love for all animals especially her cats.  May she rest in peace.

Family and friends will honor Mary Ann's life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street, East Boston, on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, for a visitation from 9:00a.m. to 11:00a.m. in our Serenity Chapel immediately followed by in-house prayer service starting at 11:00a.m.  Burial service will be private at a later date in Winthrop Cemetery with her parents.
