Gregory (Greg) Scott Lightfoot succumbed from cardiac arrest on Sunday, January 31, 2021. Greg had been hospitalized on and off with numerous health issues for the past 2+ years.
Greg was born July 20, 1961 the youngest of three children to Ruby Fay Lightfoot. He spent his childhood in the “Port” neighborhood of Cambridge, MA and attended Cambridge public schools.
Greg leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife Rose (Linberger) Lightfoot of 22+ years, his brother Dennis and sister-in-law Karen Penrose Lightfoot of Cambridge, sister Cheryl Lightfoot of Randolph, beloved daughters Amber Snyder of Hudson, Monica Carpenter of East Boston, their mothers Antoinette Snyder of Hudson, Sarah Carpenter of East Boston, cherished grandchildren Jayden, Jaylah, Javiahn and Leianna, and life long friends Darnell & Elwood Booker of Boston. Greg is also survived by loving cousins and a host of friends.
Family and friends will gather together to honor Gregory's life at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street (Orient Heights) East Boston on Saturday, February 6th, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Immediately following the viewing there will be a Prayer Service in the Serenity Chapel at 2:00 PM.
All services will be held in accordance with Phase-2 of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts phased reopening plan due to COVID-19. Capacity will be limited. Face coverings are required to be worn and social distancing measures are encouraged.
