Angela Atenco Lopez of East Boston formerly of Puebla, Mexico passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 6th.
Angela was born in Puebla, Mexico on September 2, 1943 to Tomas Atenco and Maria Dolores Lopez. She immigrated with her family to East Boston in the early 1990's. In 2007, she founded Angela's Cafe serving authentic Mexican food sharing her love for food with the East Boston Community. Angela's Cafe has been a staple to the East Boston (Eagle Hill) Community.
Angela is the beloved mother of Martha Garcia, Joel Garcia, Maria Dolores Garcia, Carlos Garcis, Irene Garcia and Jose Luis Garcia.
She was the adored grandmother of 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions on gatherings, all services will be held privately for Angela's immediate family.
