Obituary

Amendola, Alfred "Freddy Sunbeam" Sr., of Winthrop, formerly Newton, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2020.

Beloved son of the late John and Josephine (Gatti) Amendola. 

Devoted father of Alfred Jr. of Malden.

Dear brother of Anthony of California and the late Nancy Earle, Florence Helton, and John and Joseph Amendola.

Former husband of Linda Levy.

Treasured grandfather of Felicia and Christina Amendola. 

Cherished great-grandfather of Domenic and Cameron.

Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

In honoring Freddy Sunbeam, family and friends are respectfully invited to attending visiting hours in the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street, (Orient Heights) East Boston, on Thursday, November 12th from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. followed by a service in our chapel at 11:00 A.M.. Services will conclude with Military honors in Winthrop Cemetery, Belle Isle section.

All services will be held in accordance with Phase-3 of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts phased reopening plan due to COVID-19. Face coverings are required to be worn and social distancing measures are encouraged.

Alfred is a past member of the DAV and late Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict.
