It is with great sadness to announce John Gonzalez passed away on Thursday September 19, 2019. He is survived by his mother Alba Rodriguez, Sister Paula Abreu and girlfriend Sarah Crowley.
He is joining his 5 sibling: Jonathan 11, Jesse 9, Jose 4, Ramon 2 and Alba N 8 months old, all who passed away in 1994 fire on Essex Street, Chelsea MA.
He will be missed by many, including his aunts, uncle, cousins and friends; he was a fun and loving person.
He was a graduate of Northeast Vocational in Wakefield as HVAC, he volunteered for many years in his younger years in the community of Chelsea as peer leader, was a member of the Lewis Latimer Society with Leo and Ron Robinson.
His favorite saying was “Hi My name is John Gonzalez” he would introduce himself to everyone regardless if he knew them or not. We used to call him the Politician. He without a doubt was the life of the party.
John you will always leave an imprint on this Earth, because of the kindness, happiness and joys you gave to everyone. I hope you make the rest of your brothers and sister and grandfather smile in heaven, we will all miss you, thank you for your time here with us.
Family and friends will honor John's life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home 971 Saratoga St., East Boston on Sunday September 29th from 12(NOON) to 3PM. A funeral mass in celebration of John's life will be held on Monday September 30th at 10AM at St. Rose Church on Broadway Chelsea. Services will conclude with John being laid to rest at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody, MA.
