Amalia Simone November 10, 1920 - February 27, 2009
O Holy St. Anthony, gentlest of Saints, your love for God and Charity for His creatures, made you worthy, when on earth, to possess miraculous powers. Miracles waited on your word, which you were ever ready to speak for those in trouble or anxiety. Encouraged by this thought, I implore of you to obtain for me (request). The answer to my prayer may require a miracle, even so, you are the Saint of Miracles. O gentle and loving St. Anthony, whose heart was ever full of human sympathy, whisper my petition into the ears of the Sweet Infant Jesus, who loved to be folded in your arms; and the gratitude of my heart will ever be yours. |
Simone - Amalia (Savio) of Orient Heights in East Boston, passed away on Friday February 27th, 2009.
Cherished sister of Margaret Heffron of East Boston, Vincent Savio of
Norwood, and the late Domenica Secatore, Clara Resendes and George Savio.
Loving daughter of the late Joseph and Domenica (Perrotti) Savio.
Also survived by her many adored nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Amalia's Life will be held in St John the Evangelist
Church, 320 Winthrop Street, Winthrop on Tuesday March 3rd at 10:00am.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
Amalia was born in Boston in 1920. She served her country in the US Navy
and was a veteran of WWII. Amalia worked for many years as a secretary
for Secatore Furniture Store in Maverick Square, East Boston. She passed
away peacefully in the in the Don Orione Home on Friday morning. Amalia
was 88 years of age.
Memorial donations in Amalia's memory may be made to the American Heart
Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
In accordance with Amalia's wishes, visiting hours are respectfully
