V IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia H. Pignato April 3, 1936 - April 6, 2008
God looked around His garden And found an empty place. He then looked down upon the earth, And saw your tired face. He put his arms around you And lifted you to rest. God’s garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best. He saw the road was getting rough, And the hills were hard to climb. So He closed your weary eyelids, And whispered "Peace be thine". It broke our hearts to lose you But you didn’t go alone For part of us went with you, The day God called you home. |

Patricia,
affectionately known as 'Patty' or 'Aunty Patty', was born in Boston in 1936 to
Pasquale and Margaret (Granese) Pignato. This amazing women, who never
brought a child into this world, dedicated her life to making sure her
nephews Joey and Michael, and niece Margaret were always her most
important concern. Patty was a past Board Member and Secretary of the
Electrologist Board for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for many
years, past Treasurer of the Golden Age Seniors East Boston, and past Member
Sons of Italy Sempre Avanti Lodge in East Boston. The true matriarch of
the Pignato family, she was always for her father, sisters, brother
and their families. After their mother passed suddenly in 1961, Patty
took on the role of mother and lead the household with her father
Pasquale until he took ill in early 1993, when she truly stepped up and
gave her father the tremendous care and love that gave him extra years
of life until he passed away in 1998. For that this family will never
forget. Aunty Patty passed away in the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical
Center West Campus with her loving and devoted family by her side on
Sunday evening April 6 after a long and extremely courageous battle.
With all our love and eternal thanks, may you now rest in peace with
your mother and father, and your nephew Michael. The Memorial Home is handicapped accessible and a
