IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Jennie Lamonica

November 22, 1920

December 28, 2010

You can only have one mother
Patient kind and true;
No other friend in all the world,
Will be the same to you.
When other friends forsake you,
To mother you will return,
For all her loving kindness,
She asks nothing in return.
As we look upon her picture,
Sweet memories we recall,
Of a face so full of sunshine,
And a smile for one and all.
Sweet Jesus, take this message,
To our dear mother up above;
Tell her how we miss her,
And give her all our love.

Lamonica - Jennie (Cannata) of East Boston, passed away on Tuesday December 28th, 2010.

Beloved wife of the late Joseph Lamonica.

Devoted mother of Salvatore Lamonica and Ronald "Roscoe" Lamonica of East Boston, and Marie Gayhart of New Hampshire.

Dear sister of the late Anthony Cannata, Frank Cannata, Natalie Cannata, and Camille Mastrangelo. Loving sister-in-law of the late Vincent and Josephine Lamonica.

Jennie was born in Boston in 1920 to the late Rosario and Maria (Ferrara) Cannata. She was a devoted mother and homemaker, and also worked for many years as a stitcher for several clothing companies in the Boston area. Over the last few years in the East Boston community, whenever you saw Jennie you always saw her sons Roscoe and Sal pushing her in the wheel chair or guiding her with her walker - truly two wonderful sons who were always there for their mom. Jennie passed away peacefully in the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on Tuesday morning after a long illness. She was 90 years of age. May she and her beloved husband Joseph rest in the Lord's peace.

The Memorial Home is handicapped accessible and a children’s lounge is available. Courtesy valet parking at the front entrance and ample attendant off street parking is also available in our 3 parking lots. For transportation to the memorial home please call 617-569-0990.
