D'Amore -  George J. of East Boston passed away on Monday March 3rd, 2008.

 

Loving son of the late Gennaro and Anna( Bernardini) D'Amore.

 

Dear brother of Domenic D'Amore and his wife Carmella of East Boston, Joseph D'Amore of East Boston, Carmela Soriano and her husband Patrick of Saugus, and the late Jenny Cogliano, Ann Miller, Samuel D'Amore and Anthony D'Amore.

 

Also survived by many fond nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral from the Ruggiero-Mazzarella Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street (Orient Heights) East Boston on Friday March 7th, 2008 at 9:00am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 404 Sumner Street, East Boston at 10:00am.

 

Visiting hours are on Thursday, March 6th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.

 

George J. D'Amore was born in Boston in 1931. He served his country in the US Navy and was a proud veteran of the Korean Conflict. George worked for many years in the security division at Logan International Airport in East Boston. He passed away peacefully in the Don Orione Home in East Boston after a brief illness. He was 76 years of age.

 

Memorial donations  in George's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.

The Memorial Home is handicapped accessible and a children’s lounge is available. Courtesy valet parking at the front entrance and ample attendant off street parking is also available in our 3 parking lots. For transportation to the memorial home please call 617-569-0990.

 

Services will conclude with George being laid to rest in St. Michael's Cemetery in Boston.
