Sullivan, John J. "Jack" Jr. of East Boston on July 4th at the age of 89.

Devoted son of the late John J. Sullivan Sr. and M. Evelyn (Rooney).

Dear brother of Walter T. Sullivan and his wife Joan of Melrose and the Late Judith Berninger and her Late Husband Richard.

Cherished uncle of Michael Berninger and his wife Jean of West Roxbury, Thomas Berninger and his wife Mary of East Boston, Patricia Berninger and her partner Paul Garrity of East Boston, John Sullivan and his wife Colleen of Malden, Edward Sullivan of Wakefield and James Sullivan and his wife Yvette of Tewksbury.

Also survived by many loving great-nieces and great-nephews.

Family and Friends will honor Jack's life by gathering on Friday July 7th from 11:30AM to 1PM at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home 971 Saratoga St. East Boston before leaving in procession to St. Joseph - St. Lazarus Church Ashley St., East Boston for a 1:30PM Funeral Mass in celebration of Jack's life.

Jack was born in Boston on March 18,1928 to John J. Sullivan Sr. and M. Evelyn (Rooney) He went to Boston Latin School as a member of the class of 1944. He then went to Boston College where he was a member of the Class of 1948 graduating Magna Cum Laude. While at Boston College he was Knight Commander of the Cross and Crown Honor Society and later became a member of the Catholic Alumni Club. He then entered the US Army to serve in the Korean War. Jack had many professions throughout his life. His most recent was as a teacher, where he loved educating the next generation.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Chelsea Soldiers Home.

Services will conclude with Jack being laid to rest at Oak Grove Cemetery Medford, MA.
